We welcome you and invite you to worship God with us at St. Stephen the Martyr Anglican Church. Customarily, we stand to praise God and to sing, kneel to pray, and sit to hear His Word. St. Stephen’s is a traditional Anglo-Catholic Church and an diocesan mission of the Anglican Province of Christ the King.
Our worship service is in the tradition of the Anglican Communion and utilized is the 1928 Book of Common Prayer as the basis for our services and The Hymnal 1940.
Questions about what we believe and how we worship are always welcome. For more information, please speak with Deacon Ponec at recror@ststephenanglicanchurch.org
What we believe
“We have no doctrine of our own – we only possess the Catholic doctrine of the Catholic Church enshrined in the Catholic creeds, and those creeds we hold without addition or diminution. We stand firm on that rock”. Archbishop Geoffrey Fisher of Canterbury, 1951.
“We have returned to the Apostles and the old Catholic Fathers. We have planted no new religion, but only preserved the old that was undoubtedly founded and used by the Apostles of Christ and other holy Fathers of the Primitive Church - Bishop John Jewel, Apologia Ecclesiae Anglicanae, 1562.
